because you're DYING to know...

ever wonder what the frenchies from grammy winning duo daft punk look like without their helmets on?!?!
you ask and we deliver.
daft punk's guy-manuel de homem-christo and thomas bangalter. in all their glory...

how uneventful was that??
well crap. let's go back to pharrell's hat...

that's better.
;)

this just in...

justin bieber...
what the hell are we going to do with you?!?!

the little troublemaker is at it again, this time turning himself in to the toronto police today.
of course, his appearance caused mass hysteria, with dozens of police officers having to push the crowd of photographers, reporters and fans out of the way in order to escort bieber into the police station.
this newest legal problem stems from a reported december 29th assault on a limo driver.
get it together, babay!

in case you missed it...

jim cantore remained calm, cool and collected when a kid at the college of charleston tried to video bomb his live shot on the weather channel tuesday night.
cantore was reporting on the winter storm here when the kid ran screaming at him.
with the cat-like qualities of chuck norris, cantore spun around and very calmly knee'd him in the groin. he then immediately went back to his weather report.
"Obviously, here at the College of Charleston they are already having a good time," cantore said.

one thing's for sure...
you don't mess with the cantore.
stay warm, y'all!
a.

grab the kleenex...

because if this damn budweiser doesn't warm your heart, you probably don't have one!

the beer giant released this new super bowl spot yesterday, about the friendship between a golden retriever pup and a clydesdale, and immediately a million girls were sharing it over facebook and twitter.
and crying.

enjoy ~

angelina jolie is FIERCE as disney's next great female villain in the just released "dream" trailer for "maleficent".
this new take on "sleeping beauty" tells the tale from maleficent's point of view.
what hardened her heart enough to make her curse the beautiful princess aurora??
you are going to have to wait a little while longer to find out, y'all...
"maleficent", also starring sharlto copley and elle fanning, hits theaters may 30th.

will you be there?

just because...

from last night's grammy awards...

all hail the true queen of the eighties.
cyndi lauper. badass on the grammy red carpet in alexander mcqueen.
she won the "best new artist" grammy in 1985 for "she's so unusual".
she won again last night for the amazing music from the broadway hit "kinky boots."

and that bitch is SIXTY-ONE YEARS OLD.

recognize.
a

what we're listening to...

this little girl is on FIRE.
lorde was a big winner last night at the grammy awards, picking up "song of the year" and "best pop solo performance" for her huge debut hit, "royals".
she's back with "team", and it's just as infectious as its predecessor!
hard to believe she is only SEVENTEEN years old!
congrats, babay!

enjoy ~
a.

and the award goes to...

and now we come to the most important award of the night...
best dressed, of course!
here we go...

anna faris seemed a bit out of place on the red carpet, but her simple, navy fitriani gown was positively elegant.
and it fit her like a glove!

taylor swift needs a new haircolor.
that 70's frost 'n' tip champagne is old and tired.
(and the makeup needs a little updating as well.)
but that gold gucci chainmail dress was
UNBELIEVABLE.
someone get that poor child a massage this morning.
i bet that thing weighed 50 pounds!!

gold was DEFINITELY the color of the night!
and no one played it better than ciara.
the hair, the makeup, even her baby bump were FLAWLESS.
emilio pucci never looked so good.

and that's it. we're out.
fingers need therapy.

who were your favorites??
a.

(images via ny mag.)

in case you missed it...

congrats to macklemore and ryan lewis!
the boys took home multiple awards last night for "thrift shop", including best new artist.
and they looked good doing it!

they also pulled out all the stops for their performance, having 34 couples get married during "same love".
the ceremony was presided over by queen latifah.
and then freaky ass madonna came in, dressed up like an anorexic boss hogg, and ruined it.

what did you think!?!
a.

(image via ny mag.)

honorable mention...

we definitely had our favorites last night on the grammy red carpet.
and these dresses just BARELY missed the cut.

pink is built like a brick shit house.
love love LOVE some pink.
her red johanna johnson strapless fit like a glove.

when you are the daughter of the "prince of darkness", you can always get away with going a little goth.
kelly osbourne pulled it off last night, pairing her black badgley mishcka gown w/ her daddy's crucifix (which she wore backwards) and a sleek bob.

beyonce changed into this sheer ivory michael costello after her S&M opening number with hubby jay-z. it definitely left nothing to the imagination, but the detail was amazing!
(her hair looks like shit.)

what did you think?!?!
a.

(images via ny mag, just jared.)

what were they thinking?!?!

let's get to the red carpet, shall we?!?!
oy, there were some interesting looks last night on the grammy red carpet.
as there should be...it's the grammys after all, not the little house on the prairie auditions!

paris hilton in haus of milani.
look at me. LOOK AT ME!!!
i thought we were done with her...

rita ora in gold lanvin.
gold was DEFINITELY the color of the night, but this one was ill-fitting and boxy.
her hair and makeup were fabulous!

katy perry in valentino.
i don't care what y'all say...
if ANYONE else had worn this sheer musical note covered curtain, people would have been calling it fashion suicide!

who were your favorites??
and your favorite fashion missteps?
a.

(images via ny mag.)

in case you missed it...

i was just drifting off to sleep last night, thanks to the yawn-fest that was the grammy awards, when suddenly...
THIS HAPPENED.
imagine dragons and kendrick lamar brought me back with this wicked mashup.
and if taylor swift hadn't tried to ruin it with her white girl dancing, it would have been a perfect performance.
(how much do we LOVE kendrick lamar now!??!)
thanks, boys!
a.

is it just me...

or does paula patton just seem way too good for robin thicke now??

just saying.
they do look good...she's in crazy zebra nicolas jebran, and he's sporting velvet armani.
that woman is just too damn beautiful.
love her.
him? he's getting a little greasy for my taste.
let's hope it's all an act.
a.

(image via ny mag.)

who knew...

that a royal canadian mountie HAT would be the talk of the night!
at last night's grammy awards, it wasn't katy perry's dress, or slipknot's dirty clown mask that received the most attention. it was...
pharrell's hat.
yep.
a HAT.
it caused an uproar on twitter.
and a twitter war with the arby's hat.
and now it has it's OWN twitter page!
jeezy kreezy.
craziness.
(loved it. loved the whole look. that's what it's about, folks. causing a stir.)
a.

(image via yahoo.)

congrats, y'all...

finally...
it's been a long morning, but we've got the coffee brewing and our shit together, so here goes nothing.
the grammy blog!

congrats to all of last night's winners...i did a lot of yawning but there were some fun surprises.
*ringo starr joined fellow beatle (and diane keaton look-a-like? what is that about??) paul mccartney onstage.
*the daft punk robots never spoke. and never took off their helmets. way to own it, boys.
*taylor swift gave herself whiplash.
*katy perry loves light up bras!
*madonna has pulled her face so tight that she has to walk with a cane now because her equilibrium is so off.
and so much more cuckoo cuckoo craziness.
oh those silly musicians!
what did you think?!?!

well wonder no more, my dears!

robert downey, jr. (movie sherlock) and benedict cumberbatch (tv and reigning sherlock) met for the first time sunday at the producers guild awards.
and what did they talk about you ask?!?!
um, playing sherlock holmes, of course!

tsk, tsk...

so, unless you live under a rock, you know by now that justin bieber was arrested early this morning in miami.
the "singer" was in a rented yellow lamborghini and drag racing with rapper khalil sharief when he was spotted and pulled over by cops around 4:09 a.m. he then failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the big house.

via buzzfeed...

According to the police report, Bieber initially was not cooperative when the officer pulled him over, asking, “What the fuck did I do?”
The report states that Bieber refused to get out of his car and later would not take his hands out of his pockets.
When the officer told Bieber he would have to perform a “cursory pat down,” the singer allegedly said, “I ain’t got no fucking weapons. Why do you have to search me? What the fuck is this about?”

he appeared this afternoon in miami-dade circuit court, where his bond was set at $2500.

what did you expect? people have been kissing this kid's ass since he's 12.

just when you think you've seen it all...

jelly belly, the company that has brought you everything from margarita to popcorn flavored jelly beans, has a new one for you to try...
draft beer.

in an attempt to woo male customers, the folks at jelly belly spent 3 years developing the beer flavored bean. they also released a manly chocolate tabasco flavor in december.
according to jelly belly...
the jelly beans were “inspired by a Hefeweizen ale with a clean, crisp and wheaty taste.”
“Beer connoisseurs will find the flavor profile to be clean with notes of wheat and a touch of sweetness,” the company said in a press release. “The aroma is mildly bready.”

obviously. because nothing says macho like a shiny, sparkly champagne colored jelly bean.

the beer flavored beans are available now in bulk on the company's website, and will be in stores by spring.

what will they think of next?

controversy."
