this is terrible, terrible news.
philip seymour hoffman has died of an apparent drug overdose.

he was 46 years old.
he was found by a friend earlier today in his west village apartment in new york city.

one of the greatest acting talents of our time, he is best known for his roles in "almost famous", "magnolia", "the talented mr. ripley", "boogie nights", and his oscar winning turn as truman capote in 2005's "capote."
too bad he was a stupid asshole that stuck a needle in his arm.
such a shame.
