the british advertising standards authority has banned an ad from the clothing line drop dead featuring a stick thin model in a bikini.
the ASA stated that
"In the bikini images her hip, rib and collar bones were highly visible. We also noted that in the bikini and denim shorts images, hollows in her thighs were noticeable and she had prominent thigh bones."
the clothing line is called "drop dead". truth in advertising? she's supposed to look like she's going to drop dead! or topple over from the size of her head compared to her body...
a spokesperson from drop dead defended the ad, stating that the model was a standard size 8. seriously?!? come on now...if she's a size eight, then i'm a size 47.
