he was 43 years old.
cops are currently investigating the death at his home just outside of san diego...it is being reported that he died of a self-inflicted gunshot to the chest.
so so sad.
during his 20 year career in the NFL, he played with the san diego chargers, the miami dolphins, and the new england patriots.
he was also a 12 time pro bowler and a 6 time first-team all-pro.
he is the 8th member of the 1994 chargers super bowl team to pass.
he leaves behind 3 kids.
