sadness...

sir david frost has died of a heart attack.
he was 74.

the veteran british broadcaster died saturday night on the queen elizabeth cruise ship.
frost, whose career spanned 50 years, is best known for his 1977 interviews with richard nixon, three years after the former president has resigned amid the watergate scandal. 

these  unprecedented talks inspired the 2008 oscar nominated film, "frost/nixon", starring michael sheen as frost and frank langella as nixon.
frost leaves behind his wife carina and three sons.
