yet another tidbit i am getting to you late because of last week's hibernation...

'gossip girl' star penn badgley has been cast to play jeff buckley in one of two biopics being made about the life of the late singer songwriter.

this one is to be called 'greetings from tim buckley', and it centers around the relationship between jeff and his father, both musicians.

it is also being reported that badgley beat out robert pattinson (swoon twilight heads!) and that pattinson is devastated by it.

now listen, if you know me, you know i love me some jeff buckley. he is one of my all time favorites, and 2 of his songs are in my top five of all time...'the last goodbye' and his rendition of 'hallelujah'.
