OBSESSED.

can't. stop. watching.
chris lilley is an australian comedian.
and he's BRILLIANT.
his latest show, "ja'mie: private school girl" is airing now on HBO.

but before ja'mie, there was "angry boys". and holy shit, it is FUNNY.
the show follows twins nathan and daniel sims, their grandmother, juvenile detention guard "gran", and their "legends"...rapper s.mouse, surfer blake oakfield, and pro skateboarder tim okazaki.
and lilley plays 6 (SIX!) of the characters.
it's irreverent. it's crude. it's offensive as hell.
and if you're painfully PC, don't even bother.
but if none of that bothers you, it's a must watch.
the entire season is available now on HBO ondemand, or...

what we're listening to...

oh boy.
got this one stuck in head rotation before i even knew who sang it or what it was.
and now...it's not leaving the brain.

EVER.
so...katy perry wants you to know how in love she is with john mayer.
and she gave us a big old fantastical music video to prove it!
i can't even show you the one he did. with them actually singing to each other.
barf.
listen, y'all.
will these crazy people ever learn?!?!
don't sing a love song to a guy that has dated every damn floozy in tinseltown!
good luck, kids.
you're just precious.
now get this shit stuck in your head so i'm not the only one!

oh shit.

the duck boys probably ain't so happy happy happy today.

phil robertson, the founder of duck commander and patriarch of the robertson family, has been "suspended" (read: FIRED.) following anti-gay remarks made in an interview for GQ magazine.
the trouble started when the "duck dynasty" star, while discussing his religious beliefs in the article, equates homosexuality to bestiality. he then goes on to say,
"It seems like, to me, a vagina — as a man — would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical."

a rep for a&e has released the following statement...
"We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty. His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community."
and now for the 400 million dollar question...
will jase, willie, jep and uncle si really agree to continue filming the show without phil?!?
we shall see...

your first look...

matthew mcconaughey's on fire, y'all.
first 'mud', then 'dallas buyers club', and now this...

warner bros. studios has just released the first teaser trailer for christopher nolan's next blockbuster, 'interstellar.'
the film follows a group of explorers who discover a wormhole that allows them to "surpass the limitations of human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage."
i'm sorry.
WHAT?!?!
just the description blows my mind.
but...don't try holding your breath for this one just yet, my little chickadees.
'interstellar', also starring jessica chastain, anne hathaway, and casey affleck, doesn't hit theaters until november 7, 2014.

pope francis has been named time magazine's "person of the year" for 2013.
the man who has been referred to as the people's pope, he is the first non-european pope in 1200 years, as well as the first to take his name from st. francis of assisi, the patron saint of the poor.
many are hoping he will signal a change in the catholic church, which ain't been looking so good in the past couple of years.
